This example evaluates benefits of a utility DG shared savings program for
a LIPA office segment on Long Island. These programs share DG savings
between the utility and the customer and/or third parties resolving the lost
revenue/profit conflicts encountered with customer systems.

Utilities provide shared-savings DG services through several channels including:

  - Deregulated subsidiaries of the parent company
